• Why not to try couchsurfing?  You will be either hosted by a local participant or an organizer by creating a profile on couchsurfing.com and making a request. Try it, it is free and you have an opportunity to meet new cool people!

• There is an association called Science Accueil which aim is to help people coming for professional purposes and for a temporary stay to find living accommodations and to group together all the important informations.  Science Welcome can propose accommodation to all the guests of establishments which are members of thier association and to foreign researchers and PhD of Paris, Paris 8 university (St-Denis), Paris 13 university (Villetaneuse / Bobigny), Supmeca (St-Ouen), Marne-la-Vallée and Créteil, if they come from mobility centres only. 

• Otherwise, rooms in a variety of hostels and hotels are available in Paris at an affordable range of prices and can be reserved through the usual websites. A succinct list is given below (prices are given as an indication).
