VOLUNTEERS TEAM

Many YNHM organizers are not members of any of organizing association or they were in the past.

They are PhDs, students, post-docs and researchers, just like you are, they are not payed for YNHM organization

Every year approximately 40 volunteers come together and give their free time to:

Review YNHM abstracts 

Manage many e-mails and answer your questions

Manage YNHM fundings

Keep YNHM web-site updated

Find caterers with delicious plates

Make gala decorations and music groups

Be there during all the meeting if you have any question

And many, many other tasks...

Bureau des Doctorants et Etudiants du Muséum

Created in 1995 as a working group of young researchers of national muséum of natural history

BDEM is the only one students association in MNHN.

BDEM promotes the interactions between PhDs and Master students;

Supports their scientific works and share it by organizing meetings and other events every month. 

BDEM stands for PhD expirience to be recognised as a full time job and highlight the importance of their work and 

looks forward to collaborate with other students scientific associations.

BDEM created the first YNHM in 2014 since then it has a great succes every year thanks to the numerous participants.

The most of the volunteers are from BDEM.

Student association of Pierre et Marie Curie University (UPMC) created in 1998.

Timarcha promotes naturalist knoweledge for everyone allowing discover Nature on a friendly, pleasant way.

Timarcha encourages interactions between students in natural science, researchers, associate professors and 

people passionate about nature.

Timarcha organises field trips (ornythology, botany, enthomology...), promote nature photography and  

rent scientific material for. 

For YNHM Timarcha will especially organize the Photography Contest

Association of PhDs of Sorbonne University created in 2006. 

Doc'up promotes and accentuate PhD experience, offers a possibility to PhDs to add a value to their work.

 Doc'up organises workshops, afterworks, professional meetings between Doctors and PhDs, etc.

Doc'up volunteers help with YNHM organization and will be there to welcome the participants and make the YNHM be the best scientific meeting ever.

Students association created in 1986 at the Pierre et Marie Curie University (UPMC)

Sybiose6 goal is to create a network of UPMC students and promote their study subject: Biology.

Symbiose6 will be there to help with organization of poster sessions during YNHM.
